About Our Music
Many of you have asked us to provide some information about the
various genres of music that we play ... to better define exactly what
we mean by "International Music with a Latin Flair". In response to
those inquiries, we have added an Our Music area (where you are
now). In the coming days and weeks we will provide links to other
web sites that provide in-depth information about Latin music genres
such as:
** Son, Guaracha, Mambo, and Bolero (from Cuba)
** Merengue (from the Dominican Republic)
** Rumba Flamenca (from Spain ... in the style of the Gypsy Kings)
** Samba & Bossa Nova (from Brazil)
** Bomba, Plena, Salsa, and Danza (from Puerto Rico)
Many of these links provide audio examples of the various genres,
and some of those examples are songs that we actually perform, so
they may seem familiar to you.
It is our collective goal not only to entertain you, but whenever
possible or when desired to inform our faithful listeners and followers
about our musical traditions, styles, and history. Don't be bashful ...
ask away or click on any of these links to discover more about the
rich and fascinating world of Latin American music!
